Marey Gas Tankless Approved for Installation in Canada

The Marey gas tankless water heaters are approved for installation in the US but only some of them are approved for installation in Canada.  Marey gas tankless water heaters being installed in Canada have to meet certain regulations and need to be CSA approved.  The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) have special requirements that differ from the US.  All Marey gas tankless water heaters approved for Canada will have a special stamp on them stating they are CSA approved.

Marey Power Gas GA16L Gas Tankless Discontinued

GlobalTowne would like to announce that Marey has recently stopped making the Marey Power Gas 16L gas tankless water heater.  The GA16L came in either NG or LP gas and was a one use at a time whole house gas tankless water heater.

Marey still continues to make the Power Gas 16LDP (Digital Panel) unit and also the Marey 16L ETL.  These units are great for small households that use 1 major application at a time.  These units require no power and operate off 2 D cell batteries which make them great for camps and cottages.

Venting Your Marey Gas Tankless Water Heater

Marey is always updating and trying to improve on their manuals and installation guides.  Marey will soon be updating their installation manuals for the gas tankless water heaters.  Please follow the installation manual when installing a Marey tankless water heater.  You will also want to check local code as all local codes sometimes supersede the manufacturers recommendations. Below is a list of the venting required for the Marey gas tankless water heaters.

Venting Requirements
Marey GA16NGETL Power Gas 16L ETL - unit requires 3" stainless steel single wall sealed venting. This unit can be vented either vertically up through the roof or horizontally out the sidewall of the building.  Please click on this link for 3" stainless steel venting and vent kits:  3" Stainless Steel Venting

Marey GA16NGDP Power Gas 16L with Digital Panel or without Digital Panel - unit requires 5" B-Vent galvanized double wall pipe.  unit should be vented vertical up through the roof using the 5" B-Vent H/P VVT Vertical Vent Kit

Marey GA10LPDP Power Gas 10L with Digital Panel or without Digital Panel - unit requires 4" B-vent double wall galvanized venting.

Marey GA5LP Power Gas 5L - unit requires 4" B-vent double wall galvanized venting.

Marey GA5PORT Portable Gas 5L - this unit requires no venting.

Marey 16L ETL Gas Tankless Water Heater

GlobalTowne now carries the Marey Power Gas 16L ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) gas tankless water heater.  This unit is designed for 2 applications (2 low flow showers or 1 low flow shower and 1 sink) with a maximum gallons per minute (gpm) of 5.4 gpm. The Marey Power Gas 16L ETL has a thermal efficiency of 82%.  This unit is a direct vent unit and has electronic ignition and sealed combustion.  The digital display on the front of the 16L ETL allows you to raise and lower the water temperature and to also display any error codes should problems occur.  The Power Gas 16L ETL will give you endless hot water and only takes a few seconds for the hot water to reach the tap.  The unit is equipped with anti-combustion and safety protection.  The digital display will read the outgoing temperature of the hot water while in use.
